It's going to be a LONG (and very KARMIC) 18 months! Lunar Nodes Change Horoscopes For All 12 Signs - Jan 29th 2025 - Aug 19th 2026

Lunar Node Change Horoscopes – January 29th 2025 – August 19th 2026

The Lunar Nodes are changing signs, shifting from Libra and Aries into Virgo and Pisces on January 29th where they will be until around August 19th 2026. So what does this mean? The nodes are quite strong karmic forces, they represent the polarity between past experiences and future opportunities.

The south node which looks kind of like an upside down horseshoe, represents our past experiences and the baggage that weighs us down. Wherever the south node moves in our charts is where we are being called to release baggage and let go of habits, people, circumstances and experiences that we are clinging to. The north node symbolises the direction we are going in, it is kind of like our pathway to growth. The north node can sometimes bring people, situations, circumstances and experiences that are fated. These things challenge us and push us outside of our comfort zone but they also reward us when we are able to work with the energy and recognise where and in which way we need to grow.

So generally speaking, what does the lunar node shift mean for us collectively? For the last 18 months, the south node has been in the sign of Libra – Libra rules over things like relationships, national marriage rates, national divorce rates, foreign affairs, foreign diplomacy and the relationships between foreign nations. The south node is all about letting go and things coming undone. We have seen conversations about relationships, marriage and divorce taking centre stage. Think about much of the media you have consumed and think about how many of them centre around relationships and how we relate to one another. We have also seen foreign relations take centre stage as well and we have seen the breakdown of many relationships between different countries (some of those relationships have been quite strong and have been there for many years). Diplomacy has been at an all time low, we have seen arguments, policies, laws that go against the usual geopolitical landscape. There have also been a lot of countries who had been previously colonised, letting go of some of their colonial ties and releasing their colonial histories and identities in favour of a more indigenous and independent identity.

So what can we come to expect when the south node shifts from Libra to Virgo in a few days? We might see the breakdown and the letting go of Virgo themes and institutions. So healthcare is a big one. Here in the UK, the NHS is in turmoil and has been for quite some time. We could see a massive overhaul of healthcare, the laws around it, how it works and who it works for - not just in the UK but around the world. Another really important area that Virgo rules is workers and their rights. We could see the letting go of unhealthy and unhelpful work laws and changes when it comes to the collective power that employees have. There may be more conversations around trade unions and positive work practices like mental health days. Other aspects of life that Virgo rules over include animals, animal rights, national service/armies and also fitness and health/healing – not just medical but holistic health.

Now in terms of the north node, which has been in the sign of Aries for the last 18 months, (remember the north node is what we are moving towards) – Aries which is ruled by mars generally rules over war, conflict, conquering, violence, explosions, masculinity and the overall condition of countries and its inhabitants. This could mean a country’s overall prosperity or just how well the country and its inhabitants are doing. Interestingly, right at the end of the north node transiting Aries, we had the brief TikTok ban in the US. This ban actually encouraged US users to move over to a Chinese app called Red Book or xiouhongshu, where they discovered that the conditions of their own country, were not great compared to the conditions of those in China. That was very interesting and kind of a weird way to wrap up the north node in Aries cycle. Everyone becoming aware of their own financial and economic conditions in relation to the countries they’re from by seeing the conditions of the inhabitants of other countries.

We have definitely had a very lively 18 months. We have seen a big push towards violence and conflict not just domestically but internationally as well. There have been an array of conflicts popping up all over the world for various different reasons. There have been much more discussions around the nature of masculinity, the crisis that masculinity is in as well as the crisis of masculine expression including some of the dangers of toxic masculinity. We have also seen mass fires as well in different parts of the world. Most recently we have had fires in LA and right the beginning of the north nodes shift into the sign of Aries in august 2023, we had the fires in Maui in Hawaii.

So what can we come to expect when the north node shifts into the sign of Pisces? Well to see where we are heading towards, we first need to see what Pisces rules over generally in astrology. Pisces rules over institutions so prisons, hospitals, charities, asylums and institutions that rule over the vulnerable – it also rules over the welfare state, spirituality, the occult and secret societies and religions. Pisces is ruled by Neptune so the oceans, large bodies of water, fishing and travelling via the sea and also emotions as well. This means that we could see a lot of flooding and a lot of discussions around the oceans and maybe a greater push towards protecting our oceans and its inhabitants. We could also see a lot of a lot of institutional reform, the reform of how prisons and hospitals are run. We could see a greater focus on spirituality generally and the more niche areas of the spiritual paradigm. There could be a lot of discussions and conversations around secret societies and the occult. Pisces also rules over what is hidden, so there could be a lot of information coming out about secret enemies and spies from abroad. Be sure to pay attention to the media and the conversations over the next 18 months.

Here are your horoscopes for the Lunar Nodes changing signs:

Aries Suns & Aries Risings

Aries! The south node will be moving into your 6th house for the next 18 months. The 6th house rules over physical health, daily routines, habits and work. It also rules over perfectionist tendencies as well so a few things could happen here. While the south node is here, you may start to become aware of (and begin letting go of) some unhealthy habits and behaviours when it comes to how you operate on a day to day basis. If you have been overly critical of yourself then you’ll also become aware of this and start to build a kinder inner voice. If at any point during the next 18 months you become stressed or overwhelmed, take it as a sign to look more closely at your wellbeing practices and try and think of some new ways to relieve stress and achieve more mental and physical peace. As for the north node moving into your 12th house – all things spirituality, mental health, the subconscious and what is hidden will now be in focus a lot more. You might feel more inclined to pursue spiritual matters and connect deeper to your own personal spiritual beliefs. This could also involve developing your intuition. Because the 12th house also rules over things like rest and isolation, you might crave a lot more time on your own – prioritising solitude and self-reflection. It would be really good for you to explore meditation and things like dream analysis (12th house also rules over dreams) because those things will bring you very deep spiritual experiences and insights. The key here is to find a better balance between your work/tasks you need to get done and rest/replenishment. It’s important to remind yourself that to be your most productive, your cup has to be full and you have to be adequately rested too.

It’s important to remind yourself to be brave and know that you are capable of managing the career related things that are heading your way. It is time to carve out your own path Geminis, separate from your familial confines. Use your leadership qualities to get more aligned with your career. This transit might bring up some issues with your security and your confidence in yourself overall. There might be times where you feel ungrounded and end up questioning your own values. There might also be times where you feel like holding onto your possessions and your material wealth. There is wisdom in the idea that money is energy, that your security should come from an internal place rather than an external one. Working on improving your self-confidence and letting go of what’s holding you back from leaning into your full authentic self will be key. Try and spend some more time in the physical world if you do find yourself getting in your head too much. With the north node going into your 8th house of shared resources/joint finances, intimacy and psychological transformations, it is going to be really important that you remain open to the different ways money can flow to you. You might feel called to explore some of the deeper aspects of life like sex, money and death – if any of these things sound scary then that just means you have some work to do in exploring these areas. Take what you are learning about these things and let them inform what you are truly passionate about in life - let these lessons help you grow as a person. As you’re releasing emotional baggage around security with the south node in your 2nd house, using the energy of the north node in your 8th house to delve deeper into your subconscious mind is a really good way of fostering personal growth and development.

There is a chance that you might feel weary about leaning on people and you may even lean back into the tendency of over-relying on yourself for support. It is important that you take steps to move away from that kind of energy and embrace your one to one connections with others. Do your best not to retreat and fall back into old habits. Try and cultivate deeper relationships with others and remind yourself to ask for support when you need it. The north node is moving into your 7th house of 1-1 relationships, marriage and contracts. There may be some issues and baggage around your confidence in yourself, your career and your capabilities that need to be worked through (and this is the perfect time to do it). If you need to take a break from working for a little bit, then do so. Try not to overidentify with your career and your responsibilities. Remind yourself that there is a you outside of your work that needs to be nurtured and you are more than your productivity. The north node is moving into your 4th house of home, family, roots and the past. This means that your focus will be on getting closer to your family, building a happy home and breaking generational cycles that have had a negative effect on you and your bloodline. You’ll probably be making steps to create a more solid and stable foundation not just home wise but also emotionally as well. You might feel called to explore your ancestral roots more and create a home environment that feels more nurturing and sanctuary like. Your personal life will be more in focus over the next 18 months, so try to let go of what needs letting go so that you can establish a better foundation for yourself. The work you do on this now will ultimately benefit you in the long term.

Capricorn Suns & Capricorn Risings

Capricorns! Over the next 18 months the south node will be transiting your 9th house of beliefs, higher learning and long distance travel. Although the 9th house rules over the things previously mentioned, it also rules over expansion and how your mind broadens. So with the south node here, there could be some issues with space and you feeling trapped or suffocated (not literally but figuratively of course). You might also be questioning your personal belief system and getting to the bottom of why you believe the things you do. You might be thinking ‘do I still believe these things?’ and that may not sound like a lot but these self-reflections can put a big strain on you mentally. Try to give yourself the permission to ask for space whether it is at home or at work. Do your best not to overthink the bigger picture – try to focus on the details and the things you can control. The north node is moving into your 3rd house of siblings, local travel and your community or neighbourhood and communication. Every person you come across and meet over the next 18 months will have made their way into your life so that you can learn from them in some way. Be open to interactions and new connections, especially connections you’re forming with those in your own neighbourhood and local community. The north node here in the 3rd house shows us how powerful our voices and the voices of others as well as how little conversations can make a big difference to our lives. You might also be spending a lot more time with your siblings and seeking out new learning opportunities to develop your intellectual curiosity and personal growth.

Aquarius Suns & Aquarius Risings

Aquarians! The south node will move into your 8th house where it will be for the next 18 months. The 8th house is quite a heavy house, it rules over shared resources/joint finances, intimacy and your psyche. The south node here can bring up a lot from the past like fears and triggers. It can be quite an intense transit for some people because the things that come up for them are super extreme and it can be difficult to navigate on your own. If at any point during this transit you find yourself having a tough time, do reach out to a therapist or even just a friend for support. If this transit brings up any issues with shared resources or joint finances, keep in mind is important to be smart with your money and utilise your resources in the right way. The north node is heading into your 2nd house of money, income, self-worth and talents. This means that your focus on the next 18 months will be developing a stronger sense of financial stability and self-reliance. You might be reassessing your relationship to money and the material world. You might end up leaning more on the idea that money is energy and your sense of security should come from an internal space rather than an external one. You may find it easier to make money during this transit and you might be using your own personal talents to have them work for you financially. There are times over the next 18 months where life might feel a little heavier than usual, but there is plenty of learning and joy to be had as well so try to keep that in mind as best you can.

Pisces Suns & Pisces Risings

Pisceans! The south node will be moving into your 7th house of marriage, 1-1 relationships, business partnerships and contracts for the next 18 months. This means that you might have some baggage come up related to your relationships that need releasing. There may also be issues with boundaries, compromise and cooperation. You might even let go of people who are not healthy for you, those who are not conducive to your growth as a person. It is important to keep in mind that when you are welcoming new connections over the course of this transit, those people must be healthy and respectful of your space, time, energy and your boundaries as well. The north node is moving into your 1st house of identity, physical appearance and life path so the priority during this transit should be you first and foremost. You may prioritise your independence, your autonomy and how you define yourself in the world. It is very easy, especially for Pisces to lose themselves in the needs of others and over-accommodate. So try to find a balance between accommodating others and taking care of your needs as well. You cannot pour from an empty cup and that is even more intensified when you are not living in your power and you’re unable to be your true authentic self. So focus on your individuality, focus on self-discovery and try your best to develop your assertiveness, your self-confidence and your independence. Follow your heart, follow your passions, focus on personal fulfilment and everything will work out for your highest good.
